Ice Slicer RS
Our flagship product, Ice Slicer RS, is a fast-acting deicing compound, ideal for general highway and street deicing. In the first 30 minutes after application, Ice Slicer RS effectively melts more snow and ice than white salt.
Ice Slicer RS is easier on equipment and infrastructure since it is at least 20% less corrosive than white salt. As a natural blend, RS will not stain concrete or asphalt.

Super Blend
Ice Slicer Super Blend is a superfine-to-course deicer that is especially useful in high humidity areas. Super Blend is kiln-dried and can be applied using any spreader. This uniquely natural deicer is a mix of 92% – 98% complex chlorides (sodium, magnesium, calcium, and potassium) with anti-caking and anti-freezing agents that won’t leach. Super Blend’s homogenous color makes consistent application simple.

Alaska Blend
Ice Slicer Alaska Blend is a specialized complex chloride blend created specifically for high humidity conditions. This unique, natural deicer melts at higher snow volume and lower temperatures than conventional deicers.
Alaska Blend is a blend of 92% – 98% complex chlorides (sodium, magnesium, calcium, and potassium) with anti-caking and anti-freezing agents that won’t leach, even when stored outdoors. Ice Slicer Alaska Blend’s low alkali levels make it less corrosive than traditional white salt.

Elite
Ice Slicer Elite is a specially formulated blend with an enhanced deicing agent, proven to ignite Ice Slicer’s powerful melting capacities. Elite comes with added corrosion inhibitors to protect equipment and structural steel. Ice Slicer Elite meets PNS specifications.
Elite is a blend of 92% – 98% complex chlorides (sodium, magnesium, calcium, and potassium) with anti-caking and anti-freezing agents that won’t leach. Store in a dry location and apply with a V-box spreader. Ice Slicer Elite can be ordered bulk, or in 2,000 and 2,500 lb super bags.

FASTER & LONGER
Salt must turn to brine before it melts ice & snow. Independent lab testing shows Ice Slicer brines up to 5 times faster than white salt. After 90 minutes, Ice Slicer still produces nearly double the brine.

LESS CORROSIVE
A recent study estimated that salt corrosion now costs the US $16 to $19 billion per year. By using a deicer that’s less corrosive, states, counties, and cities can cut costs and stay under budget. Ice Slicer has proven to be measurably less-corrosive than white salt. According to UDOT, “Ice Slicer tested 38% less-corrosive than white salt” and is categorized by the State of Utah as high performing in corrosion prevention.
REDUCING CRASHES
Ice Slicer’s naturally coarse grains reduce crashes by restoring road traction faster than other deicers. Independent lab tests have shown Ice Slicer not only works quicker, it also keeps roads at safe friction coefficient levels for longer.
As an added bonus, Ice Slicer restores traction without the need for additional aggregates like sand and gravel, which are costly to clean up, damage vehicles, and increase air and waterway pollution.
OUTPERFORMS WHITE SALT
In order to match Ice Slicer’s natural blend of chloride salts, white salt would need 9.11 gallons of added liquid calcium chloride and 4.18 gallons of magnesium chloride per ton. Ice Slicer’s natural reddish hue makes it easier to see when applying and lowers albedo for faster melting.
SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE
Independent testing by Envirotech Services shows Ice Slicer works better at lower temperatures and delays refreezing cycles for longer than white salt.
